B.C. Main-Taunus Redwings e.V.
Welcome to the Website of the B.C. Main-Taunus Redwings e.V., the first and still exclusive baseball club in the Main-Taunus district.
The club will again have three teams (Men´s, Juniors and Kids) participating in leagues of the Hessen Baseball- und Softballverbandes (HBSV). You can find more details in the team sections.
After both the Men´s and Youth teams were able to capture the titles in their respective leagues last year, they want to prove that they are capable of competing in the higher leagues as well....
MEN
VERBANDSLEAGUE The Redwings Men´s finally opened their season against the Friedberg Braves last weekend. Unfortunately they suffered two close losses. They played pretty well though, so the coaches were content with the outcome. [more] |
JUNIORS
LEAGUE The season for the juniors will also start soon and everyone is anxious to play the first game, because it will give the team a better feel on where this season will take them. Playing in the Juniors league will be a different experience for the players. |
KIDS
HESSEN LEAGUE The Kids opened the season with a split. After winning the first game 20-4 against the Darmstadt Whippets, they suffered a 1-5 loss against Fulda/Heblos, but there is some upside on the team, so it was a great start to the season. [more] |
Redwings Men´s with several new additions to the team:
After the run-away league title, the Redwings were able to expand
their team roster through several new players, who chose to play
for the Redwings for the next couple of years.
The first addition is long-time opponent Rodolfo Montiel, who
is joining the team from Frankfurt 1860. Rodolfo has been playing
in Germany for a while. As a native from Panama he has played
with Frankfurt in several leagues, even across state borders.....
